There are a number of bots that haunt the IRC channel ([email protected]). Many of the bots host all of the English-subbed releases, so if you’re looking for something, you should find it there. If you have any difficulties therein, feel free to ask for help in this section of the forums.

HOW TO USE IRC

— Download & Install mIRC: After opening IRC, just type in “/server irc.rizon.net”, quotes excluded. This will connect you to the server. After it’s installed, insert whatever info you feel like sharing on the opening dialog box.

— Connect to the server: Since we’re on Rizon, just type in “/server irc.rizon.net”, quotes excluded.

— Join #DCTP: To join the channel after connecting to the server, type “/join #DCTP” and you’ll be in.

HOW TO USE THE OFFICIAL BOT (replace “[DCTP]Archive]” with name of the bot you’d like to use)

— Obtain the Pack Listing: After making sure the bot is actually available and in the channel, type “/msg [DCTP]Archive xdcc send 1″ to immediately get the packlist, or type “/msg [DCTP]Archive xdcc list” to be directed all the same. The bot should—barring any connection issues due to a router or the like on your end—send you a txt containing the list or likewise tell you to send for the first pack with the command for that. Either way, you should end up with the bot listing.

— Locate the “Pack” you want: Find the release you’re looking for in the pack listing. Afterwards, take note of the number just beside it. For example, if it says “#2    355x [172MB] Detective Conan – 499 [DCTP][D12FD54B].avi”, “#2″ is the pack number, “355x” is the amount of others who have downloaded it, “[172MB]” is clearly the filesize, and “Detective Conan – 499…” is the filename.

— Initiate the send: To have the bot send a file to you, you need to enter: “/msg [DCTP]Archive xdcc send #PACKNUMBER.” Obviously, insert the number of the desired pack into “#PACKNUMBER” and you’re set.

Again, there are a number of bots in the channel with varying levels of release availability. Ask for help in the channel and someone will get back to you in good time.
